Quality Statement
The Uganda Business and Technical Examinations Board is committed to be a center of
excellence for competence based assessment, examinations and awards for a skilled and
productive workforce.
The Board has developed rules and regulations on the Conduct of Business, Technical and
Vocational Examination in Uganda in accordance with Regulation 22(b) of the Business,
Technical, Vocational Education and Training (Establishment of the Uganda Business and
Technical Examinations Board (UBTEB)) Regulations, 2009 Statutory Instrument No. 9 of 2009.
The Board undertakes to channel out competent graduates prepared with appropriate skills for
the world of work. This is achieved through a committed processes and group of examination
managers which adheres to high level of integrity, confidentiality, professionalism,
innovativeness, teamwork and networking, transparency and accountability.
The Board endeavours to develop, promote and maintain collaborative networks and partnerships
with examination centres, the national and international community and the world of work in
general.
The Board periodically monitors and reviews processes and operations in compliance with the
Quality Management System, the ISO 9001:2015 Standard, and the requisite statutory and
regulatory requirements.
