UBTEB Kicks Off Marking for July-August 2024 Examinations

The Uganda Business and Technical Examinations Board (UBTEB) has officially launched the marking process for the July-August 2024 examinations, with activities underway at selected marking centres.
This year’s examinations began on 2nd August 2024 to 30th August 2024 with an impressive turnout, of 58,995 candidates participating across 454 examination centres throughout Uganda.
The Executive Secretary of UBTEB represented by Dr. Nahamya Wilfred, inaugurated the marking center on 28th August 2024. In his opening address, Dr. Wilfred emphasized the importance of maintaining the highest professional standards during the marking process. He encouraged the examiners to uphold integrity and precision to ensure that every candidate's performance is evaluated fairly and accurately.
As part of the Board’s commitment to maintaining high standards, UBTEB ensures that all examiners and personnel involved in the marking process undergo thorough orientation in line with the UBTEB Rules on the Conduct of Examinations, 2019, Section 66. This orientation emphasizes the importance of adhering to ethical practices, including managing conflicts of interest and maintaining strict confidentiality.
The marking process is scheduled to conclude by 7th September 2024. Following this, UBTEB will initiate comprehensive quality assurance procedures to facilitate the timely release of examination results.
The marking centre was officially inaugurated, and a strategic meeting of Senior Examiners was convened to discuss and implement improvements aimed at enhancing the overall effectiveness of the marking exercise.
