Uganda Business and Technical Examinations Board (UBTEB) in partnership with the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU) informs the general public that as part of streamlining the professional development of Accounting Technicians Diploma (ATD) programme, UBTEB will take over the assessment and conduct of examinations for the ATD programme effective 2024.

This will guarantee smooth career growth for all Ugandans interested in pursuing the accounting profession. The programme will be assessed on a semester basis. The graduates of Accounting Technicians Diploma can enroll for professional Certified Public Accountants (CPA) at level two.

UBTEB, therefore, calls upon all recognised tertiary institutions in Uganda to apply for accreditation as Examinations Centres to enable them to admit, train, and register candidates for ATD examinations. the first ATD examinations shall be conducted in May/June2024
